Welcome to the Bay Chapter web site.

The Over The Hill Gang, or OTHG is an organization of men and women dedicated to the sport of motocross. OTHG members must be 30 years or older (25 if female). Motocross races and play days are held regularly and classes are divided by skill level. Each motocross rider is ranked by skill level and must race within his or her class. New OTHG members are evaluated for skill level before eligibility to race for points. Points are accumulated and awards are given to the riders with the most points at the end of each year. All events are divided into four age categories - 30+, 38+, 45+and 52+. All skill levels are encouraged to join and women are welcome. We race in the following skill levels: Beginner (real beginners!), Novice, Intermediate, Expert and Master. We race for fun! Our main goal is to promote safety and fairness in veteran motocross racing! In conjunction with our sister chapters - South, Sierra, Reno and Valley, we take part in a five race National Series that visits such famous motocross tracks as Hangtown, Fernley, Tulare, Hollister Hills GP and Glen Helen. Browse through our site for more information on race schedules, tracks and join the fun!
The Over The Hill Gang Bay Area Chapter is a motocross club with well over 200 men and women members, but the five combined chapters have over 1000 racers. We have proven ourselves to be the premier veteran racing club!

Transponders are mandatory for all 2010 race events
The Bay and Sierra chapters will use transponders for the scoring of all race events. Transponders are available to purchase through the club at a reduced rate while supplies last. Once these are all sold out. Transponders will be sold at regular prices. Transponders will be available to rent at the track. Go to MyLaps.com to sign up, check your results and lap times. More...

Membership Cards, Race numbers
The Bay Chapter is now providing 2010 Membership cards when you renew your dues. These cards are used to get your Gang discount and any one of our Sponsors in the area. Contact our Race Directors, Shawn Hill or Martin Hevezi for more details.
You must present your Membership card during race sign ups!
You must run your "B", your correct number and background color on all 3 plates to receive race points. Exceptions will only be granted by the Race Director.
Yellow Flag Reminder!
At one of our races we had an entire class and half of another ignore two yellow flags for two laps! The appropriate warnings were given and one member was penalized for passing under the yellow flag. Our club has a strict policy for the yellow flag area. This is your reminder and warning to obey the yellow flag policy of the OTHG. Exercising caution in the following rule means to not jump more than is required to safely pass the downed rider, not jumping a 40 foot tabletop! It is very simple to get wrapped up in your race and want to close on your opponent under a yellow flag, don't do it! Your safety, and the safety of your fallen gang member, rely on you to slow dow, hold position, and use caution until you are well clear of the downed rider. We encourage all members to review the bylaws located under the join the gang link on the left side of this page.
YELLOW: Means caution, generally due to an unsafe condition or a disabled rider. The yellow flag also indicates this hard and fast rule; HOLD YOUR POSITION, do not pass until you are clear of the danger. Any member who fails to abide by this rule will be penalized 1 lap. The rider will receive the position of a lapped rider.

Well the 2010 race season is finally upon us! As we start this year off I just wanted to let you know the direction that we are trying to take the club this year. Brian Mes and I are already working and securing new end exciting sponsors that are eager to support us! It is a great feeling when we speak to a business owner or representative and they tell us the great things they have heard about us. I truly believe the OTHG is the premier vet motocross club anywhere on the west coast. Race clubs are only as good as their members and we have amazing members! I can not tell you what an honor it is to lead this club into 2010.
I won't share all the exciting things we have in the works, but I do want to tell you two ways we are encouraging you guys to invite your friends to race with us. First, my lovely wife created some business cards that you can give out to friends or people you meet while out riding and practicing. The cards have the club website on them, so you can just hand them a card and they can check us out when they get home. Second, if you bring a friend who has never raced with the OTHG before, please come see Brian Mes or myself. We will give you a card and once the person you bring into the club has completed the eval process, become a classified rider, and raced their first race in their assigned class, you will get one race entry free! So bring your friends. I think you would agree, there's no place I'd rather be on the weekend then with my buddies on the track!
If I don't know you yet, please come introduce yourself. I run the Mt. Dew Honda #28 B. We are looking forward to a great race season!
Practice doesn't make perfect, but it makes you faster!
